Oil on canvas 60 X 80 cm

Still life, in portuguese, is Natureza-Morta: Dead Nature. In this case... was me. When I was 16 years old I went to São Paulo with my father, for to know the Escola de Belas-Artes ( Fine Arts School). My goal was to study painting there. When my father saw a still life of one of the school masters, he said:"Wonderful!". I said to him: "That?: Like that I also paint!". My father did not like: " Be humble, boy!" Well, when we cames from São Paulo to Sorocaba ( 100 km ) I jointed over our old table a bottle of wine, a jar with flowers, a cauldron, worked as a mad and said: "Look, father!", And he, surprised: "My God: He really did!" And that stuped boy did not went to study Art.

To my daughter I doubt the title and the photo that catched from another photo ( of the old house of my dead parents) this painting on the wall.
