Artist's Comments

The great merit of this painting belong to my friend Antonio David, the photographer who caught this image in B& W, transfered by me to this monochromatic acrylic on canvas.

Looks like it was a great photo. I love the way you've painted it, and kept in the small detail of the bottle. You also capture sadness well in this work, not only with the child's face, but the colors you used too. Great work - both the painting, and the photo it came from.

Thank you for the generous words about my work. I saw your work and I think it is very good, too. I realize the wall in front me full of them, with your brilliant youth visible: wonderful!

Thank you, Andersson. Our works are - actually - so diferents, and this adds value to your opinion and the mine about your work. Visiting again your gallery a gave you, now, a fav ( but you have several that deserves the same emphasis).

Thanks, I'm honoured ... :)
I'm the son of a poor (but prolific) sculptor, I literally grew up in studios and I like to think, like all real artists, that eyes are open to anyone/thing with skills and/or something stay, regardless of style I like to hope ...

Gosto muito de como você conseguiu passar para tela o olhar triste e tímido da criança... que é linda apesar de toda a miséria a sua volta.

My dear Madinina. Thank you for your comment. I began to work with acrylic when I saw impossible to continue with oil, because the fungus, the mould. Here, where I live, is very hot and humid. " It-s the price that you pays for living in the Paradise", said me one of the Prado´s experts.
