Acrylic on canvas 100 X 80 cm

For the breastplate of the shakespearean Julius Caesar I transformed Spleen et Idéal ( Charles Schwabe) in a bas-relief. In his hands, the laurel wreath is only a burning vision. The sky, as background, announce the tragedy.

Wow, that's awesome. Caesar is one of my favourite historical figures, you have done him a fantastic justice in this recreation (Shakespearean Caesar was always the most interesting IMO). Excellent, has to be a favourite.

Yes, looks real because I made his face, in the begining, as a portrait of Climt Eastwood. He has the same strong furrows of Caesar. After I transformed his nose, hair and eyes.
